Baptism Fireside
Seriously?? Where did the past eight years go? Last night we went to the Baptism fireside for our stake. In six short months, J.D. will be baptized. It blows my mind. Time flies by much to quickly!
Of course, it is very cool to have your very best-friend live just up the street from you. It also helps that your mom's are best-friends too!
These two are hilarious! It's alway's been a love/hate relationship. I think they've seen or talked to each other, just about every day of their lives. Tthey've got each others backs and they totally love each other most of the time. It's so much fun to see them get to do everything together. They are both pretty good kids and I love them both!
While J.D. turning eight, makes me sad and makes me feel really old. I can't wait to see him take this step and I am sure I will be bursting with happiness and lot's of pride. He is such a good kid. He is so kind and compassionate, which sometimes causes him problems, because most boys aren't so tender hearted. He is such a blessing and joy in my life!

The Forgotten Carols
Every year we go to Forgotten Carols. It's a Doty tradition and up to this point, it's only been adults. This year we took J.D. & Baylee with us and J.D. fell asleep. He made it about 5 minutes into the 2nd act and he was out.
Baylee was trying to wake J.D. up. He is a dead sleeper.

Pumpkins & Silly String
We went over to Josh's parents house tonight to celebrate Heather's 3oth birthday! Scary, huh. If she's 30, that means I am soon to follow! So unfair, though, that Heather still looks 25. I certainly do not look 25. Anyway, before I cry......
We went and had cake and ice cream and carved pumpkins. Everyone said, "Oh, the kids will have so much fun carving pumpkins!" Guess who carved pumpkins????? The parents did while the children ran like wild indians all over the place. Oh well, they had fun!
I have a ton more pictures of our new little niece Kassie, and of the kids but I will post those in another post.
Grandpa gutting pumpkins. He's pretty good at it! He's had LOTS of practice.
BayLee & J.D. are Best-Friends! J.D.'s pumpkin was a cool Jacob wolf! I kinda messed it up and we had to use toothpicks to fix it. Got a little happy with the knife.
Josh going after Heather. Varney smiling. Don't know why, but he is :).

Toy Story
Mandee and I took the kids to see the double feature Toy Story in 3D. It was pretty fun. A long afternoon, though. The kids had a blast.
J.D. in all 2 pairs of the kids glasses. My head hurt so bad from watching the movie through butter covered glasses. Thanks Tyson!

The Sun Will Come Out....
I live just up the street from one of the funnest and greatest stages in all the world.
At least, it's pretty famous for Utah. It's the Tuachan Amphitheater. Every year I take my kids to one of the plays. This was Tyson's first year and he was a little star struck. I asked him in the car, what he liked best and he said, "That girl!" Another girl crazy boy!
Mandee and her family were there, but they weren't sitting with us. Of course after, and during intermission the kids had to hang together.
The kids went through and had the play bill signed by the main characters. This gentleman, who played FDR was amazing! The whole cast was very well put together and they all did a phenomenal job.
Doesn't Tyson make a cute Annie?
The boys.

Tyson was so into it. He kept leaning over to me and saying, he didn't like Mrs. Hannigan, she was a mean girl. He would clap and say, YEAH every time it was time to clap. Grandma Becky went with us and she thought it was a lot of fun also.
I want my boys to learn how to appreciate theater and have a little bit of culture in their lives. My hubby doesn't do plays. Especially musicals. So I hope they can learn to like them and appreciate the work that goes into each production.
If you live close by, it's definitely worth seeing! I think I might go to Aida, in the next few weeks. Footloose looks good too. I am so excited for next year because they are bringing Tarzan, the first non-Broadway stage to be able to perform it! It will be sooo Coool!

Gunlock Rodeo
On Thursday night we went out to the Gunlock Rodeo and had a blast! Nothing beats a small town rodeo. We went last year and the kids loved it. Thanks to Rowland we got in for free! Even better!!
They have a pretty good rodeo. They have a lot of really fun stuff for the kids to do. There is a chicken chase and a boot race. The kids competed in all of the events, but unfortunately did not win! I had some sad boys. Tyson was sad that he didn't win a chicken and J.D. was sad he didn't win the boots! Then they were all sad that they didn't get a chance to ride a calf. They had a great time though!! I think this will become a tradition!
J.D. making some kind of silly face.

Jumping Jacks
JUMPING JACKS! This place is amazing! A warehouse filled with bounce houses and giant slides. It's every kids dream!
Piper was absolutely terrified at first, but once I took her down the slide she was all over the place. We had a hard time keeping track of her.
Baylee was so great with her and played with her on the slides. They had a blast.
HA, HA, HA! Mandee was trying to teach the kids how to do the worm. J.D. and Baylee were break dancing. It was pretty cute.
He dances like a fish out of water.
Tyson having a time out at Jumping Jacks. He pushed a little boy and when I told him no, he stuck his tongue out at me. Mean mom that I am, I made him have a time out.
J.D. & Baylee!! Best friends. They had a great time together until it was time to go.
This place rocks! If your in the St. George area, you so need to go. We stayed for 2 hours and could have EASILY stayed for much longer. We had a coupon and so it cost us $16.00 for my boys and Piper. But that is cheaper than taking all of us to a movie and it keeps them doing something active.

Tadpole Hunting
Today Mandee and I took our kids to the Washington Park to hunt for tadpoles. It is such a pretty park. I love all the shade trees and the walking path with the river running next to it. They also have the funnest canal that runs through the trees, that is full of clean water. The kids got dirty and soaked and then cleaned off in the nifty little canal.
HA, HA, HA! I love this picture. Her diaper expanded so much, that her shorts just couldn't contain it anymore!
J.D. in the stinky water. It smelled so bad, because there are parts of it that are stagnant. I kept telling the kids not to get bit by mosquito's or they would get West Nile Virus. YUCKY!
Just keep looking, just keep looking.......
Some kind of pink mushroom that I found growing in the river. Interesting.......... If you know about a pink species of mushroom, I would be curious to know what kind it is.......
HA, HA, HA! Mia hates the water. I don't think Mandee's mean at all. They have to get over it sometimes. Silly girl, it was only her toes in the water.
We're going on a nature walk!!
More stinky water!
Still looking for tadpoles, but in the clean water.
