Christmas Eve at the Doty's

Every year we spend Christmas Eve at my in-law's house. It's the only place big enough to hold all of us. You can tell by the amount of presents, that there are quite a few of us.
I told my mother-in-law that next year we need to simplify!
Grandma and baby Kassie.
Aunt Heather and Piper.
Sorry for the blurry picture. My new camera, (makes me mad!) is taking not so great photo's. But here are the kids eating dinner. We had lot's of yummy soup and snacky foods.
Everyone loves to pass Piper around. Here is Aunt Mags and Pip. Aunt Maggie is expecting her very own bundle of joy in June! So excited!
All of the kiddo's watching Prep n' Landing before dinner.
Ah, what a cute little shepherd. Piper wanted no part of being the angel.

Harley dressing up as a Shepherd. I tell you what, if I could pick a kid to take home and keep forever, it would be Harley. She is so fun and so cute. I asked Varney and Heather if I could keep her and they said no :(.

Since Piper didn't want to be the angel, Kasen jumped in and took her spot. He even put on her white dress.
This was the first year we have ever put on the nativity with the kids. They all didn't want to participate, but those that did had a lot of fun. There was alot of giggling during the nativity. There is Tyson right by the baby, being a Jedi Shepherd again.
J.D. the wise man.

And the gifts. They went on, and on, and on!! Overboard, I tell ya. Not that the kids mind.

Each year my kids get new PJ's for Christmas. Here is grandpa, modeling Pipers for her.

It was a great Christmas eve!

Christmas Lights & St. George Temple

We went to the Temple last night to see the lights with Grandma and Grandpa and the Graff cousins. The temple is so pretty and the spirit is so strong! There were so many people there last night.
This is a great shot of the boy's running ahead, even though we told them no running on the temple grounds!! They were so excited.
Grandma & Grandpa with the kids. Kassie was in the car with Rowland, because it still is a little cold for her to be outside.
Poppa and his girlfriend. I swear, if Piper could get away with it, she'd go live with Poppa. He is her favorite person. She get's spoiled shamelessy by Poppa.
She did not want to hold my hand. She kept trying to run away.
Tyson was over by this tree and I went to take a picture and he said, "Look Mom, if you unscrew the light it goes out!" So proud of himself!! Silly boy.
Just taking it all in!

Fireworks

We didn't even make it to watch the big fireworks in town. Instead, we opted to hang out and do a few of them at grandma & granpa's house. It was such a long day and we were just done by that point. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Gunlock Rodeo

On Thursday night we went out to the Gunlock Rodeo and had a blast! Nothing beats a small town rodeo. We went last year and the kids loved it. Thanks to Rowland we got in for free! Even better!!

They have a pretty good rodeo. They have a lot of really fun stuff for the kids to do. There is a chicken chase and a boot race. The kids competed in all of the events, but unfortunately did not win! I had some sad boys. Tyson was sad that he didn't win a chicken and J.D. was sad he didn't win the boots! Then they were all sad that they didn't get a chance to ride a calf. They had a great time though!! I think this will become a tradition!

J.D. making some kind of silly face.
Thought this was a beautiful shot of my girl!

Kaleb & Tyson hanging out while the older kids did the chicken chase.

My family!! Gosh, I love them!
Cute Baylee! Rowland took her out and of course her and J.D. had to hang together! That is what best-friends do.
Piper was adorable in her little cowgirl outfit and pink boots!

Halloween Pictures

I love Halloween! I love all the costumes and the candy and the excitement it instills in my children. We went to my in-law's neighborhood to trick-or-treat. They still do that, on that silly old trunk-or-treat. We met up with the Graff cousins and with Mandee and her kids. It was a lot of fun. We only stayed out for an hour because, really who needs that much cand? I am a picture taker and had 72 pictures to pick from! Here are just a few.

Stinkin' cute lady bug
Tyson wanted to be Speed Racer so bad. We searched all over for a costume, but not one store had one. I tried to put him in a Spiderman costume and he threw a fit. Trina called me on Thursday and said she had bought him Speed Racer pajama's for his birthday and she would just give them to him early and let him borrow Corbin's Speed Racer Helmet. He was the happiest kid on earth!!

This costume started out as Lane Frost and ended up as Vampire Cowboy!

Cute bunch of trick-or-treaters
