Rescue on the Mountain

This is the view out of my back yard. I mean literally, I can walk 20 yards and be on the base of that mountain.
Several times, each year we have the search and rescue out looking for someone who has gotten lost or hurt up on the mountain. We've even had the sad event of having a lady jump off of the top of the mountain last year and the search and rescue were out for weeks. Lot's of times, it makes the news, even up North.
The kids love it when it happens, because then they can sit and watch the helicopters fly by.
We had all the neighborhood kids out in our yard sitting on the back of the boat, because the helicopter was landing right behind our house in the empty subdivision. I could have probably threw a baseball and hit the helicopter it was that close.
Here they are watching the rescuers on top of the mountain. We could see them with our naked eye because they were wearing such bright colors.
Josh even joined in the fun. He is dying to get on search and rescue. He is good friends with Jeff Bailey, who is over the search and rescue. He says he's already on, he just needs to hand in the paperwork. But honestly, when would Josh have the time??
And there is the little blue helicopter that kept landing behind our house.
And he's off again. It was a great amount of excitement for a Sunday evening!

Dudley and Jellybean

We must be crazy! And I mean that, I truly do, because Josh and I let the kids get 2 ducks!! Their names are Dudley and Jellybean. These were the only 2 duck eggs out of about 10 that we hatched in the inubator at the preschool.
Their cute, huh?
My kids are sooo excited! Tyson especially is excited. He keeps coming in the house to stare at them. And he kisses them and hugs them. It's kinda cute!

I don't know if they are boys or girls. And I can't tell them apart, because they really look identical.
Should be intersting!

Laying Sod

My yard, has pretty much looked like this for years.
Those are 2 very dirty little girls! But see what's behind them???

And see what's in front of them???

And do you see how beautiful it looks???
Go Adam! Thanks to everyone who came and helped us lay sod. It was great time and is a huge improvement to our yard!

Kachings

This morning, Tyson came into the bathroom to tell me that J.D. had hit him in the privates. I said, "Oh, I'm sorry. He hit you in the....", trying to choose which terminolgy to use for my 5-year-old.
And J.D. hollers, "The Kachings mom, I hit him in the Kachings!"
Not knowing that, Kachings was a word, I asked him, "Where did you hear them called that?"
He replied. "I got kicked there once by a teenager and he called them Kachings."
"Really, a teenager, J.D?", I said.
And he was dead serious when he replied, "Yep, he was like 10!"
Oh my goodness. Well I guess Kachings is better than some words we could call it!!! Isn't it funny the things that kids come up with.

Tyson's Graduation

I have so enjoyed getting to work at the Preschool this year! I love, love, love the kids and it's a job I could possibly do forever. They are so cute and fun and while it is a lot of work, I love doing it.
Tyson was a monkey!

What cute monkey he is! Couldn't have picked a better part for this climber!
Tyson with his diploma! Such a proud moment!

Brenden, Corbin and Tyson. The Three Musketeers! Looks like Brenden is honking Tyson's nose!
Me and Tyson!
My friend Amy took most of these bottom pictures. I was busy and Carson, the cute blonde next to Tyson is her kiddo. She got some great shots. They were head butting each other through out the program!
This is where Tyson got embarrassed because they were talking about all of his romances at school this year!
Agian with the head butting.
Doing a dance during the program, but I have no idea which one!
Mom and Dad are so proud of you Tyson and hope you love being able to go to the big boy school next year! We love you!

Sweet Evangalene

Saturday night we went to Laverkin for Cheya's birthday. Afterwards we went and let you kids meet their sweet little cousin.
Isn't she precious. Honestly, we really went so I could mug on this girl and kiss her cute cheeks. Aunt Brandy tries to be all the kids favorite Aunt. I'm starting early with this one!!
J.D. held her several times in the hour we were there.

He loves babies! Of course he was enchanted with her angel face.
Tyson thinks she is cute too.
Infact, he asked if we could get a baby! I told him to take it up with his dad.
Piper had to kiss her. She kept touching Maggies tummy and asking her where the baby was? She didn't quite get it.
What a couple of cute cousins!!!

A Yellow Tale Hawk

That is the name of J.D.'s baseball team. He's got one of his very best-friends on the team with him, Breckin. They have fun. It's fun to watch them grow and see how far they've come since last year.
Oh, missed that one!
Got it that time. NOW RUN!

This was the first game and he was so stiff!!! We've worked that out a bit.

An action shot. Throwing from 2nd base to home!
Just chillin in the field. Gosh, it is really pretty where I live. Just noticed that these pictures are awesome!
Love you J.D.

11:00 pm

On Friday nights, we let the kids stay awake and watch movies until they fall asleep on our living room floor. Call it what you will, but the kids live for Friday nights. Last night, rather than watching a movie, they were watching Animal Planet. BORING! However, they love it. I wanted to hang with them, but not watching Animal Planet. It's right up there with my dislike of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Even those would have been better.

It was such a beautiful night, I called the kids outside to lay on a blanket and watch the stars. It was so much fun and yes, it was almost 11:00 p.m. I had to keep telling them to be quite or they would wake up the neighbors. The boys loved it. They kept hiding under the blanket and tried tickling, and all manners of persuasion to get them to let me take a picture. Finally I started ripping blankets off.

We had some intriguing conversations. Tyson saw three really bright stars and told me that they were Jesus and Heavenly Father. And then we saw a few jets and Tyson said that it was Jesus. And then J.D. kept asking him, "
Why would Jesus, blink?" And then we moved from that to Aliens. And Tyson is terrified of aliens. So then Mr. Know It All, J.D. was arguing about life on other planets. It was interesting to say the least.

I love my boys.

Just Stuff

Piper loves motorcycles. She calls them vroom vrooms. But it sounds more like broom, broom. Cracks me up and makes her dad proud. She alway's wants to ride with him, or Uncle, and of course Poppa. It's fitting considering we got her name off of a movie, where the girl, Piper, rode dirtbikes.

J.D. and Tyson are obsessed with playing the Wii. We don't own it, just borrowing it from Uncle Aaron and it's driving me crazy. Maybe if I bought one the novelty might wear off? I'm contemplating it.

Josh won a lap top as a door prize at a customer appreciation BBQ, that Parts Plus was having. It's freakin' awesome.

School is almost out and I am not ready. Not by a long shot, but I hope it will be a fun summer. I've got a ton of ideas for things to do and we will be busy. Girls Camp, a trip to Salt Lake, maybe one to California, and a couple of weeks in Marysvale. J.D. and Brannigan are getting baptized on July 31st. I can't believe he is almost 8.

Heather and Varney are getting married tomorrow. So hopefully I will be able to get some great pictures to share. I'm super excited to see my husband in a tux. Oh my goodness.

That's all. Just random thoughts today. Have sweet dreams.

Baseball Star

I know I'm his mom. And therefore, I am prejudice, but this kid can play.
He can smack the ball clear back to the outfield! The coach's wife, Sharon and I are friends. She told me the other night after practice. "Greg say's Tyson is the team superstar."

Oh, it's so much fun to see him play ball. He's a natural athlete. He doesn't sit and play in the dirt like the rest of his team. I think it's because he knows his mom wouldn't put up with it. I told him, that if you play in the dirt, you sit on the bench. I'm a mean mom. But I think it's important that he learns to be serious about it, even at his age. They all did very well though. It's hard to be 5 and have the attention span that you need to.
He is a superstar in my book!

Memorable Moments

Sometimes I think that I have nothing truly intersting to blog about. But honestly, this blog is my journal. I type faster than I write!

Memorable moments this week included;
Piper ripping open the bag of powdered sugar with her teeth.
Josh shaving his head :(. It makes me sad every year.
Making cereal sculptures with the Young Women.
J.D. went on a field trip with is class to the Washington Cotton Days.
Watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Definitely a boy humor movie. My boys laughed and laughed.
Josh surprising me with a new camera for Mothers Day.
Tyson bleeding insane amounts of blood from a tiny split in his head. Kaleb hit him in the head with a rock.
Happy Mothers Day!

Piper & Cason

Am I in trouble or what? I think Piper is a little more involved in the relationship than Cason. What do you think?
