Julian and California Cousins

The second day of Spring Break, we spent driving up to Julian and then spending the rest of the day in Ramona with my Grandma.

We didn't get nearly as many pictures as we should have. We were able to visit the K.O. Corral, where my dad used to be part of the Desperado's and they would put on gun fights for the tourists. We visited the Cider Mill where I was able to visit with an old and dear friend, Bobbi Vanderstay.

We spent the afternoon hanging out with Amber and her kiddo's. Chadwick just loved JD. We played ball and just hung out and ended the day with a BBQ. It was super hard, because Grandma couldn't remember me. It just about broke my heart. I had to keep reminding her who I was. She loved Piper though. I think those two have a special bond.

A piece of my heart will always be in Southern California. Especially in the rolling hills of the San Diego Valley. Ramona and Julian are so beautiful. I was able to treat my kids to Dudley's apple bread and apple butter. We bough honey sticks from the Cider Mill and walked the streets of my childhood. So fun to be able to share those memories with them.

Knotts Berry Farm

We started out Spring Break vacation with a trip to Knotts Berry Farm. None of us had ever been there. It was super fun. Piper said it was her favorite part of our vacation.

It's way smaller than Disney, way less expensive, less people (sort of. We went on a day when there was a cheer competition) and way more thrill rides.  It's a good thing my family is full of thrill seekers.

I rode 2 big rides and then I was done. They took me on the ride that takes you super high in the air and then free fall drops you. Kind of like Tower of Terror. It was terrifying. I cried and sobbed and told Josh I hated him. After that I was done with the big rides.

Piper and Tyson loved the Silver Bullet and JD loved The Ghost Rider.  I also found out that Josh can't handle the tea cups. It was the last ride we did and he was super sick afterwards. It was such a fun day. We will for sure be going back.

Daddy Daughter Date

Josh had the chance to take Piper, Meagan and Brandi on a daddy-daughter date at Vista. They were supposed to dress up for a red carpet theme and they were the only people who dressed up!  They had a great time dancing and driving the charger.

7's Rugby Leaque

Rugby this year was interesting. We went from playing 15's to playing league 7's. For JD and some of the boys who played for state last year, it was a bit boring. They had a good time though.

Circus Circus

Quick trip to Circus, Circus to spend the night. Josh was coming home from Georgia at midnight and we decided just to stay the night. The pool had just opened and it was so cold!!  The kids had a blast playing in the arcades and eating pizza. This is the night JD earned the name of Willard. Goofy, redneck kid.

Ruby 7's

For JD's Christmas present last year, we bought him a pair of tickets to the Rugby 7's tournament in Las Vegas. We only bought tickets for the first night. Josh was going to go, but it turns out that he had booked himself a trip to Georgia that happened to fall over that weekend.  I was so excited to go with JD. We had the best time. Vegas is crazy and Vegas + rugby is even crazier!  We got to see teams like Kenya and New Zealand play. It was so cool. We really wanted to sneak over to the Kenyan or Fiji cheer section and hang with those peeps. Such a great memory I will never forget!

Dress as your favorite book character

 Oh my gosh!  Are you just dying? Piper is the perfect Hermione with that crazy hair!

 Tyson of course wanted to dress up as a Minecraft Skeleton. I don't think they are actually in the books but they are on the game!!  Just go with it, I guess.
