Summer is Upon Us

Miriam, Cole & Piper
Friday night we had a BBQ and pool party with the Carters.  It marks the beginning of summer fun!
Piper in  her new swimming suit!  She thinks she's pretty cute!
JD feeding Cole.  He is so good with babies!
The water was freezing!  They all pretty much stayed in the hot tub and it was freezing too.
 Cannonball by JD
"Blow mommy kisses with both hands!"
And I will toss you into the pool as soon as you let go of me!!!  Mean Daddy!
I love this kid.  It didn't seem to bother him that his ears were all funky!
Piper going in to give Cole a kiss good-bye.  So cute!

Preschool Farm Trip

Today we had the chance to take our preschoolers to the Hafen Farm.  It was soo much fun!  The kids loved every smelly second of it!
Awwww, I love this shot of their bums! They were checking out the chickens!
Piper, Addison and Makayla.  You can see just a bit of Tucker too!
I felt so bad because Piper only got to stay for about 1/3rd of it.  She had to go to dance class.  But she had fun while she was there.
See the cute boy in this picture.  It's Cohen.  It's Pipers newest love interest.
Here are Teacher Shelley and I with most of our kiddo's.  There are a few missing.
This guy was my friend.  He tried to nuzzle me throught the fence.  True Story!

Reasons I LOVE Being a Mom

No matter how rough the day is, I always know that it will all be worth it someday and the fact that I love them so much, makes even the roughest of days worth it!
I have little people who really love me unconditionally and don't judge me if I sing in the kitchen.  Except this kid does tell me to be quite!
I get to be silly and no one judges me, because it's a given that sometimes, mom's just have to be silly!
I get to help some of the most amazing children become, what I hope are amazing adults.  God has a lot of faith and trust in me to give me such amazing kids to raise!  While I may not be the perfect mother, I am the perfect mother for them, because God knows my capabilites and the potential we have together!
Sometimes being a Mom is rough and full of tough choices and unknown paths, but that is when I feel the closest to Heavenly Father in my efforts as a parent.
Being a Mom has opened my heart so that it is spilling over and I am blessed to be able to share that love with others.  And by sharing that love, I am loved in return and am able to be a mom in a whole different capacity which blesses my life for good.
Being able to hang out with this bunch, is the best part of being a mom.
And without this handsome guy, I wouldn't be able to be a mom ;).  He works so hard to allow me to be able to stay home and be a mom!  I am so grateful that I get that chance!

My Little Jem

Piper looked so cute on this day.  Like Jem off of Jem and the Holograms.  So cute with her dangle earrings.   I love this girl to pieces.  She has been my hardest child.  She's stubborn and bullheaded, temperamental and convinced she's a princess!  She'll tell you she's the princess!  She's all red personality, just like her dad, but maybe that's why I love her so much!
She makes me laugh.  She's already had 3 boyfriends at preschool and she's not shy about it.  She loves to dance and loves to play with her besties, Addison and Adilyn.  She's meaner than heck to Tyson and loves JD beyond words.  I will always find her and JD snuggling on the couch or reading a book together.  She loves her daddy and her poppa and cries for them whenever she is in trouble!

She is just Piper and she is amazing and I love her!

Green Sludge?

Yes, Green Sludge.  That is the name of JD's soccer team.  He say's they don't really have a name but that is only because he doesn't like the name they have!
JD has done amazing this year!  He is very athletic all the way around and while soccer is not his first choice, he is very good at it!
Jared Ross was his coach again this year.  It's fun to see a few of the same boys together again and watch how well they work together.
I love watching him play sports!  I think I was meant to be a mother of little boys.  I totally dig the sports!
This picture cracks me up.  They both ahve their hands in the air. It's Laife and JD.  Silly boys there is no hands in soccer!

Blue Thunder

Tyson's team this year was Blue Thunder.  He had 2 kids on his team from last year and his coach was Eric McDonald, who is awesome with the kids!  He is a soccer superstar!  Which is funny because he doesn't even like soccer much!
I love this picture.  He skips all over the field.  It's his way of running, I suppose.
We had one game where he scored 6 goals!  He gets a quarter for every goal and that motivates him very much!
Tyson and Sam.  He went to preschool with Tyson and then they moved to Dammeron Valley.  Tyson was so excited to have him on his soccer team again.
I am loving the new camera.  I get the best action shots!
He, he, he!  I love this picture!
I also love this karate kid picture!  He's such a stud and I am so glad he had fun!

She Plays Soccer?

Yes she is on a soccer team.  But does she really play?  I'll let the pictures do the talking!!

She actually went in for the ball!
Hmm, I'm done playing.  I'm going to walk down the court with my head turned sideways!
 Yeah, I know I'm cute!
Gotta hurry and eat my breadstick before they put me back in.
I should've been the cheerleader!

It was way fun to watch Piper play soccer.  I enjoy her games so much, because all of the kids are super funny to watch and most of the time, none of them really want to play. However, I'm so glad it's over! I think Piper is just going to stick to dance from now on.  We'll see if I recover in the next year!!!

Easter Eggs

Grandma Becky had everyone come over the night before Easter to have pizza and try our hand at dyeing Easter eggs like the pioneers!
It had to be hard to be a pioneer.  We did not do well at it.  Josh said it was a tradition that they died eggs like this every other year.  It was really hard for my littler kids to do it.
JD did do a few eggs.  None of the leaves or flower petals that we wrapped stayed on the eggs :(, Tyson just wanted to do it the "regular" way!
So we came home from Grandma's and used the Paaz kits!  The kids enjoyed it much better than the pioneer way.

Not sure why JD wrote this, but there you go!
