Hanging at the Pool

 We have literally lived at the pool this summer.  It's been so nice.  We discovered the City Pool in St. George and it is cheap and fun to go to.  So we've been a lot!

 JD is obsessed with the diving boards.  He spends all of his time diving into the pool and flirting with girls.  Although, he'll deny the later!

 Josh has gotten to go with us a time or two and that is always fun!  We love hanging out with daddy.

Look at that brave little turkey.  You'd never know that she cried the first week of swimming lessons!

Swimming Lessons

 Tyson and Piper had a chance to take swimming lessons this year.  Tyson loved it.

 He's gotten brave enough to swim at the pool without a life jacket and he's even found that going down the hyrdro tube is fun!  He loved it and it helped him a lot.

 Piper on the other hand, was not excited.  I don't know if you can see it or not, but her lip is sticking out so far in this picture.  Poor Stephanie had her strangling her every time she took her in the water.  By the end though she was so much better.  We saw definite improvement!!

Piper was always happy after it was over and she could play with Addison!  Silly girl.

Fireworks at the Main Street Park

On the evening of the fourth of July we went to the Main Street Park to watch the firworks.  It was by the far the best place we have gone to do this.  It wasn't terribly crowded and their is so much else to do.

 The city just installed a carousel.  It opened that afternoon.  We had tickets for free rides so we hopped on!

 JD might be a little old for this, but he was a good sport and rode for me once.

 After that we had a pizza picnic in the park!  then we went and played in the splash pad!

 They are such good boys and the best of friends!

 As it was getting dark, the girls showed up so of course we had to go back on the carousel and get a picture of the besties!

 Josh even got in on the fun!  He was hamming it up for Andrea and I's pleasure!

 Then out came the glow sticks.  The kids had a blast with them.  They little girls had about 10 each and they took them all apart to make a huge hoop.  It was cute!

 I love these trippy pictures of the boys.  They turned them into light sabers and were fighting each other.

 JD had an awesome double light saber. 

It was a great night with good friends.  We stayed until long after everyone was gone and just visited.  The kids did sparklers and had a good time.  It was the perfect fourth of July.

4th of July Parade and Shooting

 Sherry and her family were in town for the 4th of July.  We took the kids to the lamest parade ever.  The kids had a good time though.  Marysvale throws a much better parade.  Maybe, I'm biased :).

 After the parade we went to the park to play the free games.  Josh jumped right in and played volleyball with the kids.

 The kids loved the slip-n-slide! JD also really liked the sponge fighting, but I wasn't brave enough to go over there. Josh had the hose! 

 Tyson would fly down the slide.  He weighs nothing!

 Piper loved it and was so funny to watch.

 That afternoon we went out shooting.  Here is Piper shooting the shot gun.

 Ahh, the 17 HMR, the gun of my choice!  I love this gun!

The only gun Tyson would shoot was the b.b. gun!  That's all right.  He still had a good time. 

Poolside with the Carters

 We had a little BBQ when Aaron came home a few weeks ago.  Love hanging with our Carter family.  Here is a good picture of me and Trina.

 Mike and Mary are always so great to let us use the pool.  The kids love going there.  They love to be wild and crazy.  They are really into jumping right now.

 Even Tyson is into the flipping and diving thing.  I love my new camera because I can catch these awesome pictures.

 Josh and Ammon decided to start throwing the children into the water.

 It evolved from throwing to a two person swining of the kids.  They loved it.  I was surprised they could even pick JD up.

This is my very favorite picture of the whole night.  Tyson was hillarious to watch because he weighs nothing.  He was flying!!!  They kept coming back for more, they loved it.

Rain Boots

I alway's want to remember the summer of 2011 as the summer Piper wore her rain boots EVERYWHERE!  They are pretty sweet!

Lemonade Stand

This was a lot of work for me!  But the kids loved it.  JD wanted to do a lemonade stand to help earn money for his summer camp.  We made $28.00 in about 2 hours.  That's pretty dang good for lemonade and cookies!

Ice Blocking

 I was on my way from Walmart and Shelley called and said, "Hey, come meet us and go ice blocking!"  Sweet!  We were down for it, we love to ice block.  The kids had so much fun!

 Piper and Addison were pretty cute as they tried to carry the block up the hill.

 Hillarious!  Tyson and Easton caught a ride on Neils back as he went past!

 They were having a "hot guy" contest to see who could melt the ice the fastest!

So much fun!  We need to go again before the summer is over!
