Baby Bird

Today JD found a baby bird in our driveway.  It was the highlight of the day!

Poor baby bird!  Piper just wanted to hug it and hold it tight!
In fact she may have even kissed it a time or two.  Probably not the most sanitary thing to do, but well, the girl does what she wants to do!
The kids made it a hiding place in the tall grass besides our tree.  They wanted to keep it safe from the neighborhood cats, which unfortunately there is a lot of!  They even gave it a Dr. Pepper cap full of water so it would be able to get a drink or take a bath.
Cue the neighborhood kids.  They all had to come and check it out. We argued over a name.  I wanted Fred.  Brooklyn wanted Ferdinand!  Tyson wanted Harry Potter (ha, ha, ha).  But we ended up naming the birdie Daphne.  It's what all little birdies get named at our house.
Ahh, Tyson is to cute for words.
I had to include this picture. We laid on the grass today and watched the clouds go by once we got the birdie settled.  It doesn't get any more real than this. Me and my make up free face and unwashed hair. Piper with chocolate on her face. Life is beautiful, even when it is an ordinary day!
Hopefully the little birdie flew away.  He sure was trying!  He was gone tonight when we got home from baseball games.  I hope he found his way home!

Kindergarten Graduation

Tyson graduated from Kindergarten!  Where does the time go?  It seems like it is flying by me and I am grasping at it trying to catch it, but only moments are caught as it whips past me.
The program was so cute.  They sang lots of fun songs and were so cute to watch as they did the actions.
We watched a slide show from their year.
There is my little graduate as he got his diploma.  He's such a stud!
He worked hard for this diploma.  We had a tough year, but towards the end, things got better and he walked away being at grade level for everything!  I am so proud of how hard he worked and what he accomplished.
Mommy and her little graduate!  I love this kid!
 Tyson and Daddy!
Tyson, Nick and Carson!  Ahhhh, I might go to all the Kindergarten graduations just to see my preschoolers move on!

Piper's First Dance Recital

I don't think I have ever been this excited for a dance concert!  It was so fun to get Piper all ready for it!  She looked so cute!
There was only 4 little girls and they dance to Maybe, the song off of Annie.
Piper was on the end.  I think that was so the other little girls would follow.
I got a little bit teary during the dance.  I'm a big crybaby!
Theresa does such a good job with the kids.  She talked to me a few weeks ago about moving Piper over to her studio, which I think we will.  I had a few different people tell me how good Piper did and ask how long she had been taking dance.  They were shocked when I said only 3 months.
 A little bum shot!
The encore!  Piper we are so proud of you!!!

End-of-Year Choir Concert

This isn't just choir, it's show choir!  Mrs. Baker is amazing and does such a great job with the kids.  She not only has them singing, but they dance too!

They sang broadway hits and country songs.  They also sang patriotic songs!!

JD is such a performer!  His facial expressions crack me up!

JD loved choir and he wants to do it again next year!  I'm glad he likes to sing. It helps round out the athletics.

Preschool Graduation

I LOVED teaching preschool this year.  The kids are darling and I am going to miss them so much!  Here we are lining up to sit down for the program.
All my kiddo's sitting in a row!
Piper with Teacher Shelley getting her diploma.
She's cute!  They did a great job singing their hearts out!
I think this was shot during montharena!
Matay or Mckay gave us flowers.  That was so nice.  Made me feel like we had done a good job!
Piper and her besties Addison and Adilyn!

Hanging with the Carters at the Park

Does it get any cuter than this face?
Last weekend when Adam and Lindsay were down we all got together and took the kids to the splash pad.  The weather wasn't great, but the kids didn't seem to mind the cold to much.
I can't wait for things to warm up so that we can go to the splash pad a lot!  It's the best form of entertainment because it's free!
He tried to shoot me!  I had my new camera and I promised an evil revenge if he got me or the camera wet!
Cute, cute Quinton!  I wish we lived closer and could see them more!
Sometimes they do love each other!
Adam playing in the sandbox with the kiddos.
Addison and Piper just "hanging" out! Addison looks like a troll!  Ha, ha, ha!
Corbin and cute Cole.  Look at his little tongue hanging out!  So cute!
Josh kept shaking the slide as the kids went down.  They thought it was hillarious!
Caleb, Tyson and Piper kept making a train to go down the slide.

Just Like Dad

Tyson can seriously take a tire off a vehicle.  I can't even do that.  But I am a certified wimp.  He not only looks like his dad, but he acts just like him and he loves to work on cars with dad.  He's my mini Josh!

Baseball

It's time for baseball!  Usually with baseball comes the warm weather, but this year it is still pretty cold!  It's weird.  The sun did shine for the first game, but that is about it!
JD isn't the biggest fan of baseball.  He prefers a more active sport like football or soccer, but he is pretty good at baseball, it's just not his favorite.
Tyson LOVES baseball!  I think it will be his sport of choice.  I asked him if he wanted to play football this year and I got a pretty firm no.  I'll ask again when it gets closer.  It's amazing how different kids can be!
I've pretty much decided that I live in one of the most beautiful places on the earth!  Love that red rock mountain!
