Ivins

Ivins is beautiful in the spring/summer.  It's so hot, I am not sure what it is, but it is beautiful.

Schools Out

Baker

Schools out for the summer!  (Sing it with me!!!)  We spent the first afternoon of freedom at Baker, drowning worms.  Poor Piper hates it.  She asked me, "Why did Jesus make Spiders?"  I told her to ask Him when she gets to heaven.  She told me she plans on it!

End of an Era

Holy smokes!  Has it really been 2 years?  We are officially no longer the PTO presidents at Red Mountain.

It's heartbreaking and relieving all in the same breath.  I have enjoyed my time at the school immensely. I love being with the kids and love that they know who I am and are totally okay with running up and hugging me in random public places, like Lins or the park.  Mandee has been the best Co-president ever.  It wasn't always easy, but it was a lot of fun, even the hard stuff!  So glad we did it!  And so glad it's over!

Brady

For the last five months I have been watching my friend Londons little guy.  His name is Brady and I love him!  It's only been 2 days a week that he has come and hung out with us, but all of us love him.  I told London that I hoped she didn't care, but I mug on him like he's my own.  It's impossible to get anything done when he is here because I just want to snuggle and play with him. It's been a good baby fix.  He has so much personality and is such a joy to have in our home. We are going to miss hanging out with him.

Friendship

Tyson has the cutest friend named Olivia.  She is a doll face and she is so sweet to Tyson.  He has such a hard time making friends.  She is his best buddy and not his girlfriend, he will tell you, "she's just a friend, who is a girl!"   I am just so grateful for her and how good she is to Tyson.

Gangnam Style Dance Party

Piper and Addie had a sleepover while the boys were gone on fathers and sons.  They watched The Nut Job and had a blast trying to follow the dance moves that happened during the credits.  We watched it several times, that is where all the pictures came from.

Nacho's a bestie, a million stuffed animals and a good movie.  What more could a girl ask for?

Golden Cheetah Soccer

Piper really enjoyed soccer this year.  It was great because she was actually into playing it!  It helped that we knew most of the girls on our team.  There was only 1 that we didn't know and several of the girls were here really good friends.  We had Anna, Jordan and Preslie, which she was super excited about.  Every game was fun because we knew most of the girls on the other teams as well.
Bows and soccer!  Who knew?

Aesops Fables

Every year the entire second grade puts on Aesops Fables for their end of year program.
It's hard to believe this was the last of this show I will be attending. Piper was a cute doggy.
Her line was, "He picked up the letter D in his mouth and started home."
Such cute, cute kids!  Piper spent most of her time mouthing the question, "Can Addison play after school?" at me.

Running Boy

Super proud of this kid. Our school does an awesome program where the kids can walk or run laps every Friday and we track them. The ultimate goal is to get a marathon done by the end of the year. Tyson not only got 1 done, he got 2 and then some! This kid loves to run!!!

Hershey Track Meet

JD took first place at Lava Ridge for Softball throw with 147 feet.
We were able to go to the Hershey Track Meet and he competed with all of the 11 & 12 year olds in Washington County.
He represented well and took 4th place.  The boy who won, placed 6th in Nationals last year.  He out threw JD by about 30 feet, but I told JD there is no shame in losing to someone who has been to nationals twice and placed 6th in the nation as an 11-year-old.  So proud of this kid.  He is pretty awesome!

Panning for Gold

This kid has gold fever.  He has been begging me for weeks to buy him a pan, so we finally went out and got one.  Josh, Terri and Carl took him out one afternoon.  They had a wash plant and a shaker and Tyson thought he had died and gone to heaven.  He even found gold.  He found about $20.00 worth of flakes.  Happiest kid ever!

Easter

The Easter Bunny brought us: a cool plane!
A Utah Utes hat.  Jd is so excited to wear it to Grandma Becky's.  Just so he can get a rise out of her and he says he can run faster than she can!
And a little bit of Barbie.
Aww look!  It's my big kids!  This was the best picture we got of all of them.

That night we went down to the park.  All the kids, even the big ones jumped in the back of the truck.
We ate delicious food and chased each other around.  Talon really is a big kid.
Tyson had a blast with his plane, even though he kept getting frustrated a the way it would dive.

Look at those dancer toes and legs.  Even when she isn't dancing, she's dancing.
Piper was enjoying stealing the plane every chance she could, just because it drove Tyson crazy!
Piper kept letting Josh spin her on the toys and I thought for sure she was going to throw up.
This is what happens when you let Dad spin you.  Not a good idea!
Me and my twinner.  My  proof I was there!

Easter Egg Hunt and Art Festival

How beautiful is this girl?  Seriously?  We are in so much trouble in a few years!
My kids were so disappointed that we didn't go to Marysvale for the weekend.  But we decided to stay because Sarah and Talon wanted to come home.  Ivins just isn't as fun as Marysvale!
Cute, cute kids!  I sure do love them!
After the Easter Egg hunt we went to the Art Festival in St. George. I had never been before.  It was so much fun!
My kids wanted a bunny so bad.
I said, NO!  But it was super cute!

There was a music store there and my kids just gravitated to it.  They loved the string instruments.
Piper hasn't stopped talking about the violin since this day.
Even JD took an interest in these.
And of course we had to paint our face!

Beautiful

Just a random picture.  She was sitting at the table reading her take home book.  She had just had her hair cut and I wanted to capture her curls.  I had no idea, this photo would bring tears to my eyes.  She is wild, she is crazy and she is beautiful.  I love her!

Walk-a-thon

I love, love, love volunteering at the school.  Being PTO president with Mandee is one of the coolest things I have ever done.
And they are off!  This was the mad rush till they hit the first corner and then they slowed it down and walked.
This was just the kids who showed up on time.  We had many, many more come through the night.
That crazy kid ran 33 laps.  A total of 11 miles in 2 hours.  I really do need to sign him up for the marathon.  He has completed 2 full marathons this year.  He's almost to 3, just since the middle of September.  He is super dedicated and super awesome!

Friends

Just hanging out at the temple with Shelley, Andrea and Marla.  Had a chance to go to the temple while Marla had her family sealed to her.  such an awesome experience!  I love these ladies so much!
