February

I've been in a bit of a picture taking rut.  Not like, me at all, I know. I only have a few from the month of February.

Here is Piper getting ready to go sleep over at Aunt Maggie's.  Josh and I took a weekend trip to Las Vegas for his birthday.
Here we are hanging out at the temple in Las Vegas.
There were some young men there who were hanging out after baptisms for the dead and they told us that if we stood right in the middle of these seating sections and talked to the trees they would echo back to us.  I did it first because Josh didn't believe them, but they totally do!
Gosh, he really is handsome!
Sherry's kids came down and spent a day with us on Saturday afternoon.  We went to the Spinney Park.
For some reason, there are no pictures of Tyson.  Probably because he was up hiding in the willows looking for frogs the entire time.
Look at that hippie hair!
Ashton and Piper were playing on the swing and Piper was getting flipped all over the place.
All tuckered out!

Barbie Girl

For Mia's birthday this year, Adam made this cool Barbie Box that the kid got their pictures taken in.  It was so awesome!  The girls loved it and they really did look like Barbie's in a box!
Look at all that sass!!

Pinewood Derby

This was JD's first Pinewood Derby.  I must honestly say that I don't understand the madness behind all of it.  Josh and JD spent countless hours working on this car.  Lot's of sanding!  Poor kid had to re-sand it a dozen times.  He did tie for first place in the Bear division with Zarek and both of them will be going to the Scout Expo in April.  JD is so excited!
It looked pretty cool though!  Look at those cute cards, the works of Shirley!
What an ordeal!  The track wasn't working properly the night before and Josh and Neil spent hours working on it, but somehow they bypassed the starting gate and got it to work.
What a good group of boys!  They all did so well and I am so proud of all of them!

Lucky Mama

I am the luckiest mamma alive!

My Little Runner

Tyson is becoming quite the runner.  He ran the Tuff Kids race at the St. George 1/2 Marathon last weekend.
There were 47 kids in his race group.
And their off!  See the big boys in front, those are the ones that beat him.  The kid in the grey sweatshirt is 14!!!
Waiting so patiently in the rain.
Atleast we didn't have to wait long.  7 mins and 44 seconds was all.  Tyson came in 4th place.  The kids who beat him were 14, 10 and 9.  Pretty cool.
He was so excited to get the medal!!!  He is totally rocking this running business.

Mini Drill Team

Piper had a chance to do the mini drill teal with the Eshelles at Snow Canyon High School a few weeks ago! She loved every minute of it.
A lot of her friends did it with her.  Here she is with Mia and Adilyn.
The three musketeers.  Miss Addison and Miss Adilyn!
We sat right in the middle of the bleachers, but she was to the far right hand side so I didn't get great pictures.
 So stinkin' cute!
Getting all the girls in line.
Ok, now they all kick there cute little feet.
 Jump up, jump up!
She told me afterwards that she loved it!  She does like to be the center of attention!
She's so silly!  I sure do love her lots!

Tyson

My goodness this kid is cute!  This was the first time in years that I have gotten him to wear a tie, let alone a suit!  Just had to show off his cuteness!

Shooting on New Year's Eve

It's our tradition to go shooting every year on New Years Day.  However, it fell on Sunday this year so we went on New Years Eve.
It was FREEZING.  So cold and windy.  Miserable really, the little girls only lasted about 20 minutes before they came and took up residence in the truck.

JD riding his new 4-wheeler.  He rolled it a few minutes later.  Scared the crud out of this momma.  He just laughed.
Josh got to try out his pigeon thrower that he made.  He was so excited. It worked great.
 Setting out targets to shoot.
Roxy did not like the shooting.  She stayed hidden under the car the whole time!

Jorgensen's Bowling Alley

This brought back some memories.  This place has not changed since I was a kid.  It's still exactly the same.
Linsey and I took the kids bowling and we went out to dinner the last night I was in Marysvale.  Bowling in Richfield is much cheaper than it is in St. George.
The kids had a blast. Bowling isn't something we do very often.
This was Piper's designated spot.  We couldn't keep her off of it, even though the manager kept coming over and asking her to stay off.
Awww, my cute Tyler!  So much fun to hang out with these girls!

A Little bit of Marysvale

A few days after Christmas we took an impromptu road trip to Marysvale for a few days.  The idea was just to get away and relax.  Plus I hadn't been there in quite awhile.
I found this game for preschool called, What's on your head and we played it.  the kids absolutely loved it.  It was a lot of fun once they all caught on to how to play it.  Ok, once Piper caught on.  She kept telling people what was on their heads.
We went out to the bridge and let the kids shoot.  They had to bring their air soft guns with them.
Oh my gosh!  Whose good lookin kid is that?  I could smooch him!
All the cousins you will find, loading guns in a row.
Awww, Roxie in her cute sweater.
The river is so high!  They are draining the reservoir and so it was pretty full.
My kids were so excited to play in the little bit of snow that there was.
Piper and Riyo.  I love this picture!  Such a fun little trip.
