Snow

 When we went to Marysvale, there was no snow down on the ground in town.  But the kids wanted to go and see snow up the canyon.  We did not come equipped for snow, but the kids had to get out and play anyway.

 It always surprises me that Tyson likes to play in the snow, because he doesn't like cold.

 This was an awesome picture.  I caught it just as he threw it.

 Brannigan and I made a snowman. 

 JD and Brannigan made huge snowballs.  We  thought we would make a snowman, but they were way to heavy to lift, even with all of us lifting.

 I got cold and had to go sit in the truck.  After an hour in the snow, we went to Tugs and got hot chocolate. 

Santa, Marysvale Style

I had the chance to make an unexpected trip to Marysvale, the Friday before Christmas.  We had to take Sara half-way to meet her dad. It was a great surprise.  We didn't tell anyone that we were coming, so they were super surprised.  Brannigan saw us through his bedroom window.  They all thought he was lying when he said that we had just pulled up!  The look on Sherry and Austin's face was priceless.

  It just so happened that we showed up about an hour before Santa did!

 It was very different than in years past.  Usually Santa is a very old man, who well, looks like Santa and he comes around on the fire truck.  This year Santa came around in the ambulance and was played by one of the King boys from Antimony.

 Didn't matter that he was the youngest Santa I had ever seen, my kids were super excited.  Especially Piper.  She has been so in love with Santa Clause this year.  It's quite cute.

The whole crew.  Riyo wasn't sure that she really wanted to be that close to Santa, but Grandma took one for the team and jumped in the picture to make her sit there. 

Polar Express

This was a way cute idea.  Mrs. Kaeding, Tyson's teacher had a Polar Express Christmas party.  Each of the kids had to decorate a box to be a train car.  I let Tyson pick out everything he wanted on his.  It turned out pretty cute.

 It was fun to see how creative some of the kids got with their boxes.  We then had a parade through some of the classrooms and through the lunch room.  The kids loved it.

 And of course it was pj's day so they all looked even cuter than usual!

I ended up helping a poor little girl who was the caboose.  She had this huge box that she couldn't hold up!
We went back to the room for pancakes and hot chocolate.  Of course, we had to watch The Polar Express.  It was pretty simple and the kids had a blast!

Red Rockin' Hawks Christmas Concert

 On the 17th, JD had his Christmas concert.  It's not just a choir, it's like a show choir!  These kids have routines memorized for all of the songs. It was pretty cool.

 Mrs. Baker does an awesome job with these kids.

 JD and I believe Nolan getting really into it.

Twoards the end, they were hamming it up.  It was comical, but I was afraid they were going to get in trouble!  JD is undecided if he wants to continue with choir or not, but I hope so.  He is good at it!

Kindergarten and Gingerbread Houses

 It's a tradition to make Gingerbread houses at Kindergarten. It's so much fun to see the creativity of all of the kids. It's also fun to see parents come out and help their kids.  It's one of the only times  you see parents show up in force.  Sad but true.

 Tyson was all over it.  He did such a good job.

Gosh, I love this kid.

Family Pictures 2010

Way back at the beginning of the month, Trina took some family pictures for us.  It was a quick, 20 minute session because we were running out of daylight.  They turned out so well.  

My goodness, I have beautiful kiddo's.

 They are the biggest joy and blessing.

 I don't know how we got so lucky to get such a beautiful girl.  She is so pretty and so full of spunk.  She cracks me up daily and touches my heart with her sweetness.

 Handsome little hippy!  He won't cut his hair.  He is such a good kid.  He is so kind and empathetic to others.  He loves to sing and loves to play video games.  He is just an all-around good kid.

 Mini Josh!  How I love this kid.  He makes my insides do flip-flops and he is so sweet and so eager to help.  You give him a matchbox car and you'd think he had died and gone to heaven.  He is so content with the simplest things.

 We're a pretty good-looking bunch.

 They are the best big-brothers and she has them wrapped around her little finger.

 Me and my sweetie!  He's a good man.  He is so good to me and works so hard to provide for our family.  I couldn't have asked for a better guy.  I love him so much.

Oh Christmas Tree

 Josh went up to Pine Valley got our tree this year.  We just didn't seem to have a day that would work for all of us to go together.  I love the tradition of having a live tree and the chance to decorate it with my kids.  

 Sarah helped us decorate it this year.  She is such a good girl and so much help.  That's a nice shot of my behind!  Thanks honey!

I didn't get many picutres because I was doing the majority of the decorating, but it was a fun time.  It's a beautiful tree!

Birthday Boy

Tyson turned 6 on the 2nd of December.

 We had a little birthday party for him and some of his friends at our house.  They jumped in the bounce house, ate cake and ice cream and pretty much ran wild in our house.

 A house full of 6-year-old boys is insane!  Props to those who have housefuls of kids.  I don't think I could do it.

 He was so excited about the McDonalds gift card!  Best present ever!!

Tyson is so sweet and such a good boy.  He's the kid I want to squeeze to pieces and I love to lay with him and snuggle.  He's also super ticklish and I love it!  He is so helpful and is so good to jump in and help without being asked.  You could give him a matchbox car and he would be the happiest kid alive.  He is so easy to please.

He Earned His Wolf

JD earned his Wolf.  It was a pretty proud moment for this momma and den leader. Good job JD.

Thanksgiving

What a great Thanksgiving!  My whole entire family came down and stayed with us for a few days!  It was awesome. 

 Of course, there was shooting. It's a tradition.

 JD was so excited, he's been grounded for awhile. He was stoked.

We went and took family pictures that afternoon.  I only snapped a few random ones.  Eric took them for us.

 I love this picture.  I love that Danny is grabbing his own butt and all the guns are showing.

All the girls.  It was such a fun time.  I'm so glad that we were all able to hang out.  It doesn't happen very often.

One Brave Little Boy

He doesn't even look scared, does he?  Tyson had to have his adenoids out on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  He was such a trooper.  He didn't cry through the whole experience. 

He loved the big remote that he got be in control of.  We watched Dinosaur Train and Curious George while we waited.

This guy could fall asleep anywhere :)

Me and my little buddy.  He was so brave.  I was probably more worried than he was.   I don't like anesthesia.  I hate seeing my babies come out of it.  He has done so well and is breathing so much better.  I am so glad that we had it done.

Science Night at Red M ountain

 We learned about making a phone out of tin cans.  Does it really work?  Yes!  If the string is tight you can barely hear each other, but they do work.

 We learned about static electricity.

 You can make balloons stick to you.  It's awesome and lots of fun!

 It also gives  you crazy hair if your a long haired hippy!

Wool and plastic rubbed together will make a magnet.  Pretty cool stuff.

My kids seriously have the best school!  Thanks Red Mountain for a fun-filled night!!
